“On Thursday, the West Virginia House passed a bill that could deliver hope and opportunity to families struggling with school closures and inappropriate or controversial school assignments. If passed by the Senate and signed by the governor, the bill would give
West Virginia families control over a portion of the state funds earmarked for their families, which they would be able to use for private school tuition, special need therapies, tutoring, and more. That money could come as a godsend for many struggling with the academic and
mental health consequences of public school closures and disruptions in the last year. The bill’s fate is still in jeopardy in the state senate, despite 2/3 of the chamber being controlled by Republicans, often presumed to favor school choice.” @InezFeltscher, @IWF #SchoolChoice
