As someone who has had an Onlyfans for about a year now, I have some things to get off my chest about how some people perceive OF creators - specifically those of us who do lewd/NSFW content. (1/?)
1. It is not as simple as "take a few nudes and get rich". While some OF folks have photogs/makeup/editors/etc.? Many creators do all of these jobs themselves, and it takes a lot more time than you'd think. Yes, even for the "simple" shoots.
2. Many of the very successful OF creators you see had audiences elsewhere before they started an OF!!! Even using me as a very small example, I have had a YouTube/Twitch and social media presence for 7+ years. I didn't start entirely from scratch.
3. Editing and planning all your own stuff takes a lot of time!!! Themed shoots and cosplays take SO MUCH TIME to do! If someone is a 100% OF creator this is easier to balance, but ppl would be surprised at how much time, money, effort, and planning goes into even simple shoots.
4. Supporting creators ensures the money goes to people you actually support and appreciate. If you favor bigger platforms for NSFW content ok, but if you want to make sure your $$ are DIRECTLY going to the person that you like? OF, Patreon, and other direct methods are best.
