My kid had a superhero assignment this week. She had to invent a superhero. I suggested Captain Calgary. She told me to go get bent and came up with her own: Super Jan. Super Jan rides a supersonic skateboard and has a magic rainbow pin. 1/
My kid had a superhero assignment this week. She had to invent a superhero. I suggested Captain Calgary. She told me to go get bent and came up with her own: Super Jan. Super Jan rides a supersonic skateboard and has a magic rainbow pin. 1/
The magic pin forces everyone she encounters to tell the truth. Her sidekick is a cat named Oregano who can speak any language and frequently translates for Super Jan. Super Jan was bullied because of her rainbow socks and that’s how she discovered her super power. /2
Her defining moment came when the school bully - aptly named Jason - took Super Jan’s BFF’s lunch money. The BFF - aptly named Rachel - called super Jan. Super Jan flashed her rainbow and Jason was forced to tell the truth. Thus began her career of helping the downtrodden. /3
I did not make this up. This is legit her assignment. Never doubt the impact you have on the next generation. They’re watching!
