Davion Mitchell deep dive thread - why @hoopculture13 has been so valuable to the @BaylorMBB:

Mitchell is ranked 1st in the nation in Bayesian Performance Rating, which measures a player's overall impact on the court. After beginning the year at 32nd, he has risen to the top.
His individual stats have been a step up from last season, as he is averaging 11.9 points, 7.3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game, with an efficient 59% shooting from the floor, including 56% from deep. For a guy known as a defensive stopper, his offensive play has been key.
Even more remarkable is his team impact, with Baylor outscoring opponents by 62 points per 100 possessions with him on the floor, the highest Team Efficiency Margin for any player in the country (200+ possessions). Butler, Teague, and Vital are all at least 8 points less in TEM.
Based on these numbers so far, if Davion Mitchell were to play 30 minutes in a game, Baylor would win by at least 4 more points on average than if he didn't play at all. And that's lowballing that number.
