Ok but why is this true https://twitter.com/degarts/status/1341834776236466179
Everyone's experiences are vastly different, but, I'm in the best working situation I've ever been in... I'm 38 and sometimes feel 68.

Is it hard now? Of course it is.

But there are FAR too many people in this industry who sacrifice everything to stay around...
It's too much work and not enough pay... most importantly, there's too many places that just simply do not care about your well being. It's ALWAYS "more".

It's tiring and the rewards are either too small or too few and far between to balance it out...
This is supposed to be fun, but for too many people, it's nothing but a grind.

It's got to change.

I can take more than most because it's all I'm used to, which also makes me incredibly grateful for the people I work for now who care about me...
That said, what I've been through and had to endure coming up has damaged me forever. What work I don't put in at my job is used to fix what my last two jobs took from me.

IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS WAY FOR ANYONE
All of this says nothing for the fact that the vast majority of people in this industry are criminally underpaid in relation to their workload and the return employers get from them.

There are some lucky ones that get paid what they're worth or close enough that they're OK...
But so many get paid a fraction of what they're worth.

And no, it's not as easy as "go find someone else who pays better", especially now.

I'm thankful for being with people who understand the worth of what we do... too many do not, and yet lean HEAVILY on them.
MAN, that nerve is touchy 😂
