Two yrs ago I ran a 50-mile ultra in 11 hours. Six weeks ago I ran an easy 9 miles in Florida in 85 degree heat.

Then I got Covid.

For 15 days even a mile walk would leve me trembling & panting. +
If I walked up a flight of stairs I had to sit down & pant for a few minutes.

There were a few nights when I had such bad palpitations I was worried abt sudden cardiac death (I’m a physician and know the worst complications).
On Day 17 I tried to run 1/2 a mile. For 24 hrs afterward my heart rate refused to climb down from 115 (my resting HR is usually in the 60s).
I recovered and am able to start running again now. The palpitations, panting, sudden sweats are gone, but I still get easily fatigued.

This is not the flu. This is something much worse. I can easily imagine dying from it.

I made my will on Day 4, I think. +
Pls take this seriously whether ure 20, 40, 60, or 80.

Mask up, minimize social gatherings. Avoid unnecessary physical meetings.

COVID can kill u or ur loved ones within days.

Care about life.
