One of the things I don’t like about thrifting in japan is that a preowned item can often be the same or similar cost to a brand spanking new one...
(Not every store is like this but there are a couple I’ve been in that are)

This kind of goes for most other stores here anyway. Except for uniqlo (and H&M I think?). Lol but then my body shape comes into question... uniqlo clothing fits very very weird on me...tight in odd places and loose in odd places. And ultimately a little uncomfortable

I haven’t shopped at H&M in ages. The fibres flying around the store makes my nose hurt...and also I don’t really like supporting fast fashion if I can help it (nowadays—buying is expensive so I recommend thrifting). I do like wandering around the store though

I’m not even sure why I started this thread. I was watching a lot of fashion YouTube and I love fashion so so much but honestly I feel like

Participating in fashion when you’re not the standard is incredibly and unnecessarily difficult. I guess this is how I’m feeling at this current moment. I think to some extent this is why I just don’t shop in japan anymore. I do enjoy window shopping here but I never attempt to try anything on. It’s depressing and makes me feel really bad about myself anyway.
