Unpopular opinion: Support for Trumpism among R voters (beyond the Very Online Right & uber-MAGAs) is MUCH softer than many think & could crater quickly after Trump.

Rank-&-file Rs where I’m from in TX will vote for him but are also exhausted. Many get it & know why he’s losing.
This doesn’t mean R primary voters are going to suddenly wake up with a taste for retribution & want to retire every R who allowed the coming 2020 wave defeat to happen.

But, they’ll be more open than many assume to a change in direction & a new wave of leaders who can win.
And this is actually another contributing factor. Without Trump, Trumpism will become Q-ism & mysticism (it already is) that mainstream rank-and-file R voters will finally reject after having been drubbed in states like AZ.

A lot of anonymous Twitter accounts with stars and a string of numbers in their handle and frog pictures as their avis will suggest differently, of course.

But that’s part of my point.
