We are collecting better data including race based data and neighbourhood level data to identify who is at greatest risk so we can better address prevention, testing and intervention efforts ...this disease does not strike evenly.

Our testing capacity has steadily gone up across the country. Targeted testing is also improving with more mobile testing, data driven testing etc.

Test results are also coming back faster.

Contact tracing has also steadily improved using digital & non-digital means. 4/6
Aiming for zero does NOT mean we can't also move towards re-opening the economy or society more broadly.

That is a falsely binary argument.

In fact the efforts we take to get to zero can help us re-open more effectively and in a more sustained way. 5/6
Finally, we may not be able to get to zero or may exactly we may get there only some of time - likely many cities, provinces or even other countries. But aiming for zero is a worthwhile goal.
