Everytime I hear Jack & Diane "life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone" I think--this HAS to be the saddest pop song. Why did we skate to it?

What& #39;s your vote for saddest pop song?

Wow, this is an amazing list of sad songs. Someone should make it into a playlist, might be cathartic.

(I used to have a "sad lady singers playlist" with Aimee Mann, Beth Orton, etc. Helped me through some rough days)
